The sanitisation of cricket
2 years ago, mid-JanuaryI need to think about this more. But, more and more, I’m finding the game encroached by sanitisation; a cleaner, shinier, less raw feel to it. I might, of course, be speaking bollocks - but I do feel it. Once I’ve worked out what it is I mean by this, I’ll post more.

Shiny Mark is back
3 years ago, at the start of NovemberPost 1001, and it’s back to business as it appears that Mark “Shiny” Nicholas is back on Channel 9. His contract wasn’t renewed a month ago - but Dave mentioned it yesterday, and the plucky people at ABC are gratuitously back-patting themselves. And why not!? Is Mark gaining a cult following I wonder…?
