    It’s amazing the performances you get when players know there is competition for their places.

    We’ll see when England bats just how much of this is pitch and how much is good bowling.

    Great performance by England, put SA under real pressure and while the series is now lost it will be good to end on a high. Bowling was aggresiver, now bring back S Jones as well and you have a excellent bowling attack of Harmison/Anderson/Flintoff/Jones/Panesar in the run up to the Ashes.

    My only worry is can Harmison perform away from home, don’t want a part time bowler, with someone alternating with him for overseas tours.
