My second non-cricket post in as many days, but there’s bog all else happening so why not vent some steam? And what scolding steam it is, too. I’ve just turned down a new flat - too expensive; too small - so am trawling through the websites to find another, and all I see are requests for a “quiet, non-smoking, professional female”. Now clearly I am none of these things (apart from quiet), but from what I can gather there’s a definite bias towards the ladies in terms of flat-hunting. And I’ve had enough. All these amazing sounding flats are listed - with gardens, “free use of study”, plasma screens, views of the river and more alluring qualities - but only if you’re “a female”. Damn them. Damn all of them.
