So then, Marlon Samuels’ action has been reported. What’s the verdict? Legitimate action?

I still fail to see how, while they continue to let Murali bowl, they can bother reporting anyone else.
Again, ICC have dug this hole for themselves. We’re going to see a lot more of this speculation for the next 20 years!
Tait does it too don’t get me wrong. But the lines are blurred now.

I personally always thought that Samuels chucked and I’d like to still think so.
While this is purely my perception of his action, I am not sure if he fits into the 15 Deg thing.

I am sure that Samuels chucks.
He ‘bowled’ Paul Collingwood with a 78 mph delivery off about 5 paces (and with a stop in his run up, and a slow-looking arm speed) – which I believe is impossibly fast without throwing.
If Samuels can produce a 78 mph delivery under laboratory conditions without throwing I would be astonished. Even his stock delivery is about 72 mph.
I am astonished that he has not been reported before.

His action exceeds the 15 degrees, but he’s still not a very good spinner so does it really matter? That’s the defence the West Indies should use!

Once top-chucker Murali was cleared – the whole can of worms was spilled open. Umpires used to say if it was a throw. Now its scientists and lawyers. The loser = the game of cricket. All bow to the power of the Asian cartel. There is a game for these throwers – it’s called baseball! It’s played in the ‘land of the freak’.

Yeah the Asians are freaks, and the Americans too, and the lawyers, and the ICC. In fact you’re all freaks, every one of you!
Everywhere I look in this sport people are whingeing about something or other. The loser = the game of cricket.

I will have to agree with Rich B. The “Spirit of the Game” is in danger of dying. I wonder was it so in the Good Old days? I bet a game of cricket was more enjoyable, and less stressful! Today, with all the technological advancements added to the game and the Duckworth-Lewis system etc… instead of progressing the game seems to be losing its magic!
The West Indies are playing better though, even if they are still losing. I am very proud of my guys and Samuels was fined.
I belong to a very informative cricket group on Hi5 The Puttlam Associates feel free to join us. A mixture of West Indians, Sri Lankans, Indians, Slovenians(?) .
I would like to know which Indian player chucks?
