  • I think those speed guns are a load of crap. Somehow the white ball goes faster - I bowled 83-84mph in the Test match, and 93mph in the one-dayers. It's crazy. I hadn't bowled a ball for ten days.

Video highlights of Yuvraj Singh’s filthy six sixes

Filthy, disgustingly massive sixes these. Just have a look how far they go.

Gluttons for punishment who can’t see the above video should click here. Furthermore, read Cricinfo’s comms of his innings.

as a supporter… i have dreamt of this… an indian player smacking 6-sixes in a over since i was a kid… FINALLLLLLLY… and that too bang when we needed it…

    Absolutely disgusting!

Flintoff should never have woken up Yuvraj from a slumber he has been enjoying through the summer.

But weren’t those sixes good cricketing shots?

I feel sorry for Stuart Broad who bore the brunt. A touch of inexperience…should have slipped in a wide just to upset the rhythm..but the good news is he will never be going for the complete package again. Cricket educates the keen…

Flintoff destroyed Stuart Broad’s career. Moreover many thanks to Flintoff for triggering great fest!!!

I don’t follow - how did Flintoff destroy Broad’s career? (We don’t get the non-Australian matches here).

Rusty - Flintoff had words with Yuvraj and the end of the over before Broad’s. Yuvraj gave Fred the message that he didn’t like what he was saying via poor young Broad.

    thanks, Chris.

seems like Flintoff is contributing to destroying his own career, too. Why didn’t he just stay home til his ankle was really recovered? Like, a year? He hasn’t done anyone any favours in the long run by continuing to play

    Thanks for that enlightenment, Chris.

Thanks for your thoughts Chris and Rusty.

It is disappointing to have the host team (SouthAfrica) out of Twenty-20.

Yeah, Freddie has to be blamed for messing up Broad’s career. But I guess, maybe he was just compensating for the five sixes he conceded in the Natwest Trophy.

Wow, how times change, and people’s fate, too.

I am glad this happened to Broad, no bowler stupid enough to bowl like this in a T20 international match should be allowed to play anyway,,,
the first ball he bowled was a half volley and it disappeared, the next one was half volley as well and on Yuvraj’s legs so, it disappeared, next was half-volley outside off stump which also went for maximum, then came a full-toss waist height way outside the off stump which deservingly dissapeared and the next two were juicy half-volleys as well. Seems all he knows is to run down and ball half volley’s or full-tosses, he should count himself luck one of those wasn’t a no ball or something or he would have broken somebody’s record for maximum no. of runs in an over ;)

Raj, but he is one of the eleven best players that England had chosen.
