Terrific video of Sir Garry Sobers’ 254 for a World XI against Australia in 1972, an innings described by Don Bradman as the greatest he ever saw played on Australian soil.

Boy, look at those boundaries - it is frightening how long they were. Think of Sobers with today’s short boundaries on flat, covered pitches…

Ponting should be ashamed for only averaging 59!
