Kenya take on New Zealand today - can’t wait to hear how that goes. New Zealand looked good against England (not hard) but Kenya…well, I really fancy their chances. How they cope with the tournament’s most outstanding fast bowler, Shane Bond, will be interesting.

I think i have finally had enough of Mark Nicholas as a commentator. Is there really any need to make the micropone distort for a fairly average cross batted shot.

New Zealand are powering on. There’s a fair old gap between a top-notch international side and a minnow, and Kenya, though improving, are still minnows.

Scotland 113 for 6, and finding out that as well.

jake jackson - god, yes; being a county cricketer, going to public school and having floppy hair does not add up to being a great commentator.
particularly when the hair is the most important bit; mind you that manish geezer on the beeb sounds like he has yet to watch a game of cricket let alone play one, so it could be worse. stick to radio, tho things there are not what they were. i’d like to hear people with a passion for the game, an ability to talk about it without droning themselves up their own arse (bob willis come on down)- and i’d reinstate the balance between pure journos and ex-players; both have lots to say (more jeff thomson and geoff lawson, please) and from different angles. i do think tho you have to have played at even a low standard if you aren’t to say things that anyone who has played cricket will just find stupid and pointless…which brings us back to mark nicholas …
