I’ve posted photos of cricket being played in some extraordinary places, none more so than this: the rocky mountainous foothills of the Karakorams in Pakistan.

i have belonged from same palces and i have have played also.There are places in Gilgit Area whrere lovers and fans of cricket play

SpryCorpse, in my experience, Pakistani men are pretty hardheaded, so maybe a *couple* of diving catches ;-).

A close friend of mine taught in this area of Pakistan for a good part of his 4 years there. When I sent him this picture (which, btw, he said was ‘ace’), he replied, “Show me a piece of land there the size of a tin can lid, and I’ll show you cricket.”

And that, of course, is as it should be.

This is the same picture which has been shown in the web site earlier.Though it is the tremendous effort and real work.Yes i do agree that there are places in Northern Areas of Pakistan where childrens play cricket because grounds like oval are not available for them.I am inhibtant of GilGit and we used to play look like these places in our times.
