I think those speed guns are a load of crap. Somehow the white ball goes faster - I bowled 83-84mph in the Test match, and 93mph in the one-dayers. It's crazy. I hadn't bowled a ball for ten days.

Matthew Hoggard’s fourth Ashes video diary. Usual nonsense but he does it better than most cricketers could and it’s good to see behind the scenes at Adelaide. It ends with him in an ice bath…click here if you can’t see the video below.

He seems such a nice bloke, I am an Oz supporter, but he is one of my favourite English players, always in there, having a go.

The facilities at the Adelaide oval look great, being an international cricketer must be a good life, even if you have to put up with losing the Ashes. Never mind, I hope he is playing in the 2009 team when the games will be fought a lot harder.
