No doubt the Aussie coach will be impementing this revolutionary coaching aid immediately.
I feel the need to mention ‘reverse swing’ but I’m not sure why.

I’m surprised Emma, the resident county squirrel, hasn’t picked up on this: an interview with none other than David Nash, the Middlesex wicketkeeper. Good ‘keeper, Nash, should’ve gone on to higher honours (as should’ve Keith Brown, but that’s for another day).
Kev: I’ve always wondered how did you get the nickname Knocker?
Knocker: When I started my career, just before going out to keep, I would always go to the loo and “relieve myself”, so I became known for always knocking myself off. [Editor’s note: perhaps we should revert to the less original, but also less evocative nickname, “Nashie”]
A game for gentlemen? Believe what you will. Thanks to Patrick for the link.

Maybe ‘Onan’ would be a better nickname…
Says it all about Middlesex, really… ![]()
Leaving that particular section to one side, I’m glad you posted the link, Will. It’s an excellent interview which I’d also come across in ‘The Middlesex Room’ earlier in the week.
Nashy came from my original club, Sunbury, and has been unlucky not to play more for Middlesex in recent years, although, whenever I’ve seen Ben Scott keep, he’s looked very tidy and okay with the bat too.
Nash could certainly have gained higher honours, but his main junior coach expressed the view to me a few years ago that he just never quite had the desire and bloody-mindedness for it - ‘he just likes enjoying himself’. Fair enough, I’d say.
i need help with warm up for my personal exercise programme can you plz help
I knew Nashie when he was knee high to a grasshopper at Sunbury CC (nothing’s changed [with his height!]
