Steve Harmison feels strongly about suggestions that he came out of one-day retirement in order to play the Stanford Twenty20 for 20

The infamous VB Boony dolls. Who would actually buy these things? (I’m serious. Tell me)

    Boony Beefy and old Boony

    The Malones.

You don’t buy them you get them when you buy a certain amount of beer, or if you’re like me you get your flatmate to bring one home from the bottle shop he works at. I think you underestimate how much we Aussies love Bonnie. Imagine watching the Ashes and seeing Harmison bowl his probing leg slip line and then hearing your Boonie doll lay in to him with a bit of dry Austrlian humour. I doubt that beefy will make it into our house though. Although we might get one purely to deface.

Last year it only took 2 slabs of Vb to earn yourself a Boonie. A days drinking for two at best. Christ knows who’d want a Beefy, though.
This years opening salvo from VB is a scream - the ad’s all about the significance of the ‘Tash.

Would love to see the VB ad on the ‘tache. Is that on youtube somewhere too?

As a Pom, you had to respect Boonie. He turned up in ‘89 and batted for about 8 days every innings. He just stood there and calmly rejected every delivery - the Australian ‘Wall.’ Fine man. I wish we had one of those at 3 this winter.

If I ever find a copy of the Tash ad, I’ll post a link. I’m afraid YouTube just gives me the irrits, but I may have to search it for the ad - it’ll turn up eventually.

Well, that wasn’t as hard as I thought. The ads can be found here: http://www.boonanza.com.au/ - you’ll have to verify your age before you can get it, but that’s easy. The ads are in the games and downloads section, and well woth a look.

They are great fun and it should be funny to hear there interaction during the Cricket this year. Boony’s comment about the Pom’s are coming, better break out the scrubbing brushes is pure gold!

You can go to the http://www.boonanza.com.au site and purchase it with out the beer (it just costs a little extra, about 55-60 dollars). Also you could probably get it off ebay but some people are trying to fleece people on there.

In response to the first post, anyone with a sense of true Australian pride would buy a Boony doll.

However, one does not need to buy a Boony doll.

    It is not for sale.

The David Boon doll is the result of an agreement between myself and Foster Group.

When you drink Victoria Bitter, you are entitled to a Boony doll.

Talk to your local distributor for further details.

there’s nothing like a sunday afternoon, putting on the cricket, sitting on the couch, grabbing a beer, and listening to booney and beefy have a verbal cricket match.
Disappointed people!!!! with some of the comments,
it’s about time you know where your loyalties lie!!!!!

Where can I get the Boony ringtone that says things along the lines of “Your Phone’s Ringing Mate…” etc. in Boony’s voice? Please include web link. Thanks. Don’t include pay websites as I want it free. Thanks.
