Max Walker: tell your story walking

By Will 2 years ago, at the start of October Leave a comment on this post

Look who it is! Max Walker circa 1976 in the nets. I knew nothing of him until recently, and still know relatively little…apart from the impersonation of him on the 12th Man tapes.

Richie: “Max? Tell ya fuckin’ story walking”

Brilliant.

In other news, I have joined most of eastern Europe in being granted a British passport. I’ve written up the whole debacle, the sorry fiasco and it might, eventually, appear here unless I get it published elsewhere. Nightmare over! It’s a miracle! I’m not a criminal!

Billy Birmingham’s “Max Walker” is considerably more entertaining than the real thing, who visited these parts a few years ago. He was as bland as a biscuit.

Can’t believe some-one described Max Walker as bland!

He’s an entertaining speaker and made a motza from a number of humerous books about his time playing cricket. originally came to Victoria from Tasmania to play Aussie Rules football.

Wikipedia has an article on him at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Max_Walker
