Pensive Matthew Hoggard

Fine portrait of Matthew Hoggard yesterday, who is by some margin short of his best in this Test. His expression rather captures this.

I t will be interesting to see how Hoggard gets himself back into the groove. Great shot.

super shot. it’s a perfect explanation to how im feeling; shatterd confidence. could anyone help please? My confidence has been SHATTERD and I just can’t get into form this season. I had a brilliant season last season but I’ve just lost it all this season, and being a legspinner/opening batsman, it really does not help. I just don’t know how to build my confidence up again… I know this has nothing to do with the forum, but would appreciate some much needed help.

    Thanks.

Remember it was just a couple of months ago when Hoggy was lying on the ground laughing his head off after nabbing his 200th test wicket against Sri Lanka. He was in fine form. As he will be again. I know this isn’t very helpful, Ty, but I’m sure yours will be back soon too. I remember Michael Vaughan saying, when he got his 166 at Old Trafford last year after a very poor trot, that he didn’t think about technique or anything, he just went out and played on instinct and enjoyed his batting.
