The only times I’ve slept (inadvertly of course) during the course of watching cricket is when I’ve been watching test cricket in Australia, massive time difference with Pakistan.

I’m particularly fond of an afternoon kip at the cricket, unless someone is going bonkers in the middle which deserves my attention; not a monstrous run-up of a sleep, just coming in off four paces, and a quiet snooze. Brilliant.

There was nothing quite like a spending a day dozing in front of a test match on the telly in those long six week summer holidays. And sitting in the sun always makes me sleepy, so i’m all in favour of having a little kip at the cricket, just around tea-time.
