Sidebottom’s figures

RJ Sidebottom 6.0 6 0 2 0.00 (0nb, 0w)

Off to Lord’s now. Boss phoned, wants photos, so I’m going to put my “I’m a photo journalist” hat on and snap away like a whore.

I think they finally got to Sidebottom for a couple runs in his 7th over. Starting with 6 maidens in 6 overs with 2 wickets is impressive, and Cook is an impressive scalp to take, but I have to wonder about the batting strength of a side where Monty Panesar is in the #3 slot.

I think Panesar was a night watchman. Maybe.

Sidebottom got hit around a bit towards the end, but great start.

The Boss, although it says it’s Will, is not actually me. It’s my Boss logged on as me! And the ******** photos were problematic because the **** battery died on me :(

Ben’s right. Panesar was a night watchman. Since Wills post was from today and the match was in play (with Sidebottom bowling just his 7th over when I posted) I assumed Sidebottom’s bowling figures were all from today. Look’s like Sidebottom got Cook on day 1 and the other 3 wickets on day 2.

Still, he has 16-6-42-4 today. Stats I would personally die for. He sent Joyce back to the pavilion for 4! and I really rate Joyce as a good player.

Will, you have my sympathy, really you do. Was at Lords 3 weeks ago for a meeting, camera with me. Met my old coach who said, can you take pictures of the awards ceremony for the magazine, as my camera is bust? You can see what’s coming, right? Everyone says, oh right, Wraye is taking the photos for all of us with her fantastic digital camera gizmo. I get in the front row. Awards nominated as camera explodes - back falls off the thing and batteries fall on floor. Panic! Push batteries back in, holding them in with a finger and all photos are then dark and blurred. Felt like such a fool. Never again!
