I think those speed guns are a load of crap. Somehow the white ball goes faster - I bowled 83-84mph in the Test match, and 93mph in the one-dayers. It's crazy. I hadn't bowled a ball for ten days.

Run! Run you bastard, run!

I haven’t played for years, but I remember screaming this, aged 16 or so, at the bastard non-striker who ran me out, Rich v Hall house match. I took a hat-trick - one of two that season! - but was peeved at getting run out.

Anyway, Shiv Chanderpaul re-enacts this perfectly in this video of the recent West Indies series against New Zealand.

Funny enough! This one was brought to my attention and I blogged about it here alongwith a few choice comments about Chanderpal or rather the Captain!

Just about everyone who’s ever played the game has been in that situtation. It’s kind of sad to see it in a Test team though. But the tantrum was hilarious- the Kiwis must have been laughing their arses off.
