Thanks for the Post Will! I’m sorry we are getting too demanding!
Now for my Grand Final update! ( this comment will probly end up really long…… you have been warned! )
Well we lost the toss and got sent in! The pitch offered a bit of assistance early but it was always going to play alrite if you survived the first hour or so! SO i went out to open the batting, like i always do, My partner all ways takes the first ball! the first over went
X.X… 2/0 (0/2) after 1 over!
So i was up non strikers end watching.
From then on i only had one thing on my mind, CONSOLIDATE!
I we where 3/18 when our number 3 went out. But then we put on a 77 run 4th wicket stand before our number 4 went out an over befor lunch. (This partnaship has been considered the vital match turner at the end of the day!) I survived to lunch. I was on 28 at lunch!
I batted for about another 45 minutes after lunch. In which time i managed to get pinned once and play a beautifully played french cut down to fine leg! ;) I ended with 35 off 112 balls. Although i batted very slow i, a our number 4, managed to pull the team out of the depths of shit creek! In the 146 minutes i batted i took the shine off the ball and seen off the openers which allowed to of our middle order players to post a 85 and a 79!
We ended the day at 8/316 Dec off the minimum 96 overs of the day!
Not many teams can recover from 2/0 after the first over to post a 300+ score in one day!
So we will be fielding straight up in the morning!
And with Hussy batting like the superstar that he is, I’m off to bed for some sleep!
