Good good, Will. About time too…;-) Now Elliott and I won’t have to moan anymore, or hijack any threads.

29 hundreds for Ricky Ponting. Sachin’s record is under serious threat; the bloke’s an utter run machine (and not in the criminally-dull Kallis-mode - he’s great to watch, too). Even stevens…perhaps Australia just about edge the first day.

I guess we won’t know until SA bats. You get the impression it was a bit of a tricky pitch to bat on. As usual, Gilchrist will have to be taken early or the game could quickly disappear from SA.

Hi All. Popped over here early, but no post :-(.
See you tonight. Aus could get 300+ which could be very defendable on this track, OR, SA have bowled better than I think, and will pass our total. Hard to judge from here.

Definitely not a good start for the Saffers. Honestly, Smith can frustrate me beyond belief. He’s like Pietersen. So inconsistent. Anyway, it looks like they’re starting to recover. Nice partnership from AB de Villliers and Jacques Kallis. SA are still going to struggle to win though. I think it’ll end in a draw, we’ll run out of time.

I cannot support a team which is pre-dominantly “White”,The Indian guys are good enough for Porvincial Games and Posters, not to play for S.A.As racist as Aussies is,my bet is on them.
Cheers

Symonds isn’t white…and to be honest, I think Ntini is good and so is Gibbs, but the SA quota system is ridiculous.
