Time to forget the boundary-bashing…or is it?

By Will 2 years ago, mid-March Leave a comment on this post

Part of me wonders whether South Africa’s victory over Australia might produce a series where the bat doesn’t simply dominate the ball - it crucifies it. Perhaps they’ll just think “well, it worked in the one-dayer. Why not here?” Frankly, I’d love to see it - but doubt it’ll happen. Mind you, I’ve now run out of hats to scoff, so I have free reign to make ridiculous statements.

Some templates will appear in the early hours, s’if by magic innit, so keep yourselves amused. Ought to be good.

If batsmen begin to hit sixes and fours every couple of overs in test cricket will we begin to cheer the dot balls? Will Glenn McGrath become the new Andrew Flintoff? Will we start to cheer when Ashley Giles comes in to bowl (he he he)? Or am i talking lot of b******s?
