Who’s going to do it Scott?
Gilly, Afridi, Ponting, Flintoff, Symonds, Sehwag, Harmison.
Probably some bloke from Namibia or the UAE will achieve it first.

Yesterday’s innings by Adam Gilchrist revived the old ‘double hundred in a odi’ idea. The record is Saeed Anwar’s 194.
It got me thinking- it’s like cricket’s version of the four minute mile. Once somebody does it, three or four other batsmen will do it shortly after is my guess.

I would pick Sehwag as the man most likely.
I’d pick Ponting.
it would have to be an opener..
or in a game where a no3 or no4 comes in very early..
i’m sure the 20 overs of fielding restriction can only help with the 200 quest..
as opposed to 15.. when anwar as an opener got 194.. he had the time to get to 200.. but was caught at fine leg going for a six..
I still think Gilly’s the most likely. Or Pietersen if promoted.
Ah. Or Afridi!
afridi is the least likely..
he surely will have the time to get one.. but for him to get 200 with the risks he takes is almost impossible..
pietersen/ponting are my candidates..
then again when the additional countries are given odi status.. oh boy… then quite a few people might get 200s..
