Since then of course English cricket got, for want of a better word, sexy and the twentysomething (and younger) female audiences are a very welcome addition to the crowds in my view (with the exception of the “gels” who treat Lords as a Henley or an Ascot).

I once took my top off at a game and stopped play. Mind you, I did have a beetle in my bra and the club players fell about with laughter. If I blogged about my womens cricket, I’d have the whole world laughing at me, but I don’t think I’m ready for that yet!

In a way I think the cherleader photos are more relevant than this photo was, because while Troughton is a genuine cricket athlete, the photo was not of something one is likely to see at a cricket match. If one goes to a Nashua Titans cricket match in South Africa, one presumably will see what was posted to this blog. Fair game, in my mind.

While Jess may have a point about the lack of coverage of women’s cricket here, there’s a whole bunch of cricket stuff which doesn’t normally get covered here – not just the women’s game. Personally, I wouldn’t mind reading a good blog about women’s cricket, but only if the blogger had a genuine enthusiasm for the women’s game.

So don’t accuse me of ignoring women’s cricket. I might not write about the women’s game an awful lot here, because I don’t find it particularly interesting and I’m perfectly entitled a) to that opinion and b) to write whatever I wish.

Case closed, sorry.

Not at all. You post about men’s cricket all the time – ’tis a cricket blog, duh. But the only acknowledgement of women is pictures of hotties. So, either posts about women’s cricket, or pictures of gratuitously-scantily-clad men!

Just be grateful that I didn’t actually post what I wrote initially.

Dear God, what levels I have sunk to. I promise, one day, I’ll resume writing on this blog and not swearing profusely. Or posting pictures of massively attractive bok women.

This ought to have implied the off-topic nature of the post, as well as my finding the photos funny and amusing. And yes, attractive. Not sure what’s wrong with that, but if you don’t like my attitude then I apologise. Those that know me will be finding this all very amusing, as am I!
