Looks like Ashley Giles won’t be fit for England’s tour of India. Ian Blackwell or Monty Panesar? Discuss

He still has an outside chance you know, the England side just doesn’t have the same feel to it without King of Spain…I am still hoping he recovers.

    Panesar and Loudon.

Give Udal a pension or something.

I’d say the full monty, but it seems Blackweel is the one they;re looking at. bah!

I’d absolutely say Monty. I’d take Blackwell and Udal out of the equation completely and make the England spin issue all about Gilo and Monty. At some point, England has to think about a replacement for Giles and, although Monty is miles behind him with the bat and in the field, he is the only choice.

Beeb to-night reporting that it will be Monty - I’ve forgotten whether they’re intending to take two or three spinners (Giles is definitely unfit, I think) - if three, I’d assume Loudon will go (as an offie…)

Who the eff is Monty Panesar anyway?

If not for nothing else, I’d have loved to see Giles down in India for more controversy. He got people heated up the last time with his leg-side stuff.

Btw, guys, Giles was your best bet. Not that it matters which English ’spinner’ we’re playing. But please for God’s sake don’t bring along that Udal guy.

the term ‘turbanator’ is deeply offensive to Sikhs. Using a religious garment in context to a film where murder is the main theme is insulting. please remove it from your page. Regards.
