Bevan though had a habit of ending up on the winning side!

Is Michael Hussey the new Michael Bevan?

Tubby Taylor seems to think so, and I almost agree. Time will tell.
Discuss.

Hussey is head and shoulders better than Bevan. Bevan, too floored in Test Cricket. Hussey has it all!
Hussey has ended up on the winning side a fair bit himself you know - he has swung Test Matches as well as One Dayers…

Hussey is much better at finding the boundary (or clearing it) then Bevan was.
Bevan though was a master of the craft for six or seven years; Hussey has only been prominent for twelve months. To say that Hussey is better is premature at this stage.

I have strange theory that he must be related to Bradman, what’s his average again, only 140 odd or something?

He surely looks promising, scoring so consistently… but he will have to do it over a period of time.
But i must say that bevan was an awesome player and the way he used to finish the innings was an attribute which not many players have these days in intl cricket.

I had great respect for this batsman (even though he gave us hell in the ashes) but after him not walking during the one day game today when he knew he had hit the ball to me he is nothing but a CHEAT. Saying “I dont walk” just about sums the aussies attitude to ricket these days “win at all cost” the job of an umpire is difficult enough without players not walking when they have been caught knowing they have hit the ball. You could see from his eyes he knew he had hit the ball, the bowler knew, the wicket keeper knew.
To make matters worse the tw*t then won man of the match for cheating.
