obviously inzi hasn’t been practicing his coin skills..
Pakistan vs England, 2nd ODI

I didn’t see where it was, but one British scribe said that with the variable conditions between batting first and batting second, it was a given that the side batting first would win 4 out of 5 of the games in this series.
Given Sod’s Law, the next four fixtures will see the side batting second win the next four games with ten overs to spare.
I hope Will is well and not too knackered from moving to have a chance to check out some cricket in the next few days.
Some dude called Flintoff won an award.

Sod’s law is looking good so far…

England 8/149 in the 35th. Fletcher has sent out Solanki at no.10 as the super sub.

we should have done a “McGrath” on Shoaib after the second Test … ![]()

this is hilarious
england were 130-8
we could have finished it
inzi decides to go with defensive field and spinners.. not even a club captain would do that with just 2 more wickets to go..
pk doesn’t deserve to win this match
this is just unbelievable
akhtar could have finished it with one more over.. he had 3 to go..

Do you suppose Freddie’s four ball innings had anything to do with his lack of sleep last night? Hopefully he’s catching up on his kip now so he can rip through the Pakistan top order…..

could have done, but then, our Fred has had practise at staying up all night! Let’s see if we can bowl ‘em out for under 200 and reduce the tension on our poor old nerves.

well.. england was 130-8.. and then 230
a complete gift of 100 runs..
at 130-8 he brings on spinners who bowl wide on the off stump.. and the field goes to complete defense.. at that time akhtar had 3 overs..one more over from him could have finished it.. inzi brought him on in last few overs of the match and it took him one over to wrap things up..
wow.. i knew inzi had porridge for brains but what was woolmer thinking? a 5yr old would have captained better than this.. i’m fuming mad..arghh.. in the last game even though pk lost i wasn’t upset because at least they tried.. here there was no excuse for such horrendous captaincy.. what were the odds of plunket socring a 50.. must be like 1/1000

pk deserves to lose this match..
230 is a massive total after being 130-8
if pk had “tried” to get england out at 130-8 and failed.. then it would have been some good play from the england tailenders..

well, that was a good thrashing by Pakistan. Ahhh yes, it feels like the good old days!

pk won the match but it held no joy for me..
if pk wants to be a top class team then they need to focus on not just the end result in this case a win. everybody will forget the mistake made by inzi now that pk has won.. england should never have been allowed to score 230 after 130-8..
in a similar situation the aussie team would have brought back the quicks and finished it 140 all out
we got out of jail with england today but only a few quick wickets from england could have made 230 seem like 330..
i hope this glaring error is fully reviewed by the team+coach

Common Mani, give us some credit. You are right about Inzi’s captaincy, he should have brought at least one of the quicks back into the attack, but we batted superbly and no way any one can say we didnt deserve to win the match. Kamran batted beautifully, he’s a fine young cricketer. I’m so pleased, series nicely poised for Karachi now, where Afridi will return.
