Australia vs New Zealand

Chappell-Hadlee Trophy Time! It is in New Zealand this year, and Australia look resplendent in the new ‘away’ strip with a green shirt and gold pants. They now look half as silly as normal.

New Zealand won the toss, and sent Australia in to bat. And Jeremy Coney is the Master of Pitch Reports! What desire! What hunger! What passion for the pitch! This is a man who knocks on the pitch to see how good it is. He leaves the rest for dead.

    Zainub, I was there, he took it all in good spirits, and to be honest, I’ve heard and seen worse. There was a big rendition “Brett Lee’s a ***ker” that he responded to by bowling faster and faster. Really self defeating stuff from the crowd.

    The biggest disturbence (which was only a tremor) came when a couple of idiots sitting by the sight screen wouldn’t sit down…..when NZ were batting….go figure!

    And of course the streakers, of which only one guy actually managed to get his kit off. Will’s put a link up to some of the pics from the day I took.
