Does this mean you’ll get to keep the book?

I get to review Simon Hughes’ new book, Morning Everyone – hurrah! Two days off and far too much to do, but hopefully will work my way through it. Looking forward to reading it.

Heard Hughes on 5 Live this evening. Sounds like an interesting book. Do let us know your thoughts once you’ve woken up after the early starts/pub!

Course he’ll keep the book… I knew a guy who worked for a magazine that reviewed hi-fis, he got to keep plenty of things.
Let us know what it’s like, I’ve just enjoyed his first Yakka book. And if any more come your way, feel free to pass ‘em on.
Actually, I should use my own bl**dy press pass to do stuff like that. Was gutted when I realised Richie and the team popped into ITN after the last day at the Oval. I’d have happily gone to work if I’d known they were coming.
Mind you, I did get to hold the real (football) world cup on Monday. And shake hands with Geoff Hurst.
Ok, enough football…

You heathen, Nick! Football is – bluergh. Anyway, no I don’t get to keep the book
But I don’t care, as I never read books twice anyway.

But you could have donated it to a library, and thousands of cricket tragic could have benefited. Next time you review a book, request for permission to keep it to yourself – and then donate to a library. Think of all the good deads you will earn…

Can’t believe you don’t get to keep it. What on earth do they do with it once it’s read??
(sorry for the f**tball reference, it shall be my last, I promise…)
