geez, the commentators are dumbarses! ponting obviously was just confused as to why it was given not out when the reason he thought it would have been was because he hit it, but then it wasn’t given as runs, that’s why he was asking about was it because of the line and stuff. It had nothing to do with him thinking it was going down leg. Ponting wouldn’t question the umpire on a decision to ask the 3rd umpire, and be angry because he disagreed. It’s just stupid.

Day three. Australia “on top of the World” (ho ho). What a load of nonsense.

and on that issue, i’m actually stunned myself. I think he did hit it, but that’s not why it wasn’t given out, so why the hell wasn’t it out? it was going on to hit the stumps! umpires can be strange sometimes.

Afternoon Harry!
It really is good to have cricket on at sensible hours again, isn’t it?
Even if the games arn’t as exciting as the Ashes, and they are jsut a little one sided!
But oh well, back to what we are used too i spoose!
I just went for a bike ride and come back to see that we had lost three wickets!
I meen we were looking at about 600-700 lead before!
Oh well! 400 will have to do!

355 to get - although with two early wickets down … - still quite intriguingly poised (for once should I say!) - this could go right down to the wire I get the feeling, Lara is due a big one, he can’t possibly get out for a low score again, surely. Interesting day’s play awaits us tomorrow.
