Cricket in the Park - The Oval at Regent’s Park

By Will 3 years ago, at the end of August Leave a comment on this post

The Oval is coming to Regent’s Park. It had been confirmed that clapham common would host the ECB’s Cricket in the Park event for The Oval Test, but according to the ECB this has now changed. Instead, Regent’s Park will be the venue, for the Saturday and Sunday of the fifth Ashes Test. No idea why they’ve changed it…

I heard a rumour that Clapham Common couldn’t get a licence to host the big screen hence why they had to change it.

I’ve got tickets Thursday/Friday at Oval so luckily will be in Regents Park both days!

    BRING IT ON!

I went to the ‘Cricket in the Park’ thingy at Cannon Hill Park in Birmingham, the one in Bristol, and the one in Nottingham. Great fun at all of them, although it helps when England are giving it to the opposition.

All this and managed to get a ticket for Day 1 at Edgbaston too. That’s got to be the best day’s cricket I’ve ever watched.

…or I think I do. Were you at Edgbaston in the same outfit?
