Steve Harmison feels strongly about suggestions that he came out of one-day retirement in order to play the Stanford Twenty20 for 20

Quote of the day - Bob Willis

By Will 3 years ago, at the start of August Leave a comment on this post

Bob Willis usually comes up with some gems, none better than this:

“Shane Warne’s the next patient for Doctor Flintoff”

I’ll leave you to make your minds up…

Next patient for Dr Flintoff forrrrr…what? For treating him of his disease of ugly heaves to non-spinners? Or inserting rods in his wrist to prvent him accidently turning his leg-breaks by a foot? Hmmm…Bob has me scratching here (my head that is)..

Willis - gorgeous as a bowler, a dirge as a commentator. Perhaps Bob is hoping Freddie will give him an exercise in hand anatomy - demonstrating what the middle finger is for. And as Freddie really IS a happily married, family man, this does not involve the use of mobile phones.

By the way, Will, you wrote a great piece on Hoggy. Thanks. Love that boy.

Yes, glad to see Hoggy getting some coverage - he really deserves it. Wouldn’t like to see an England team without him; he’s a very brainy bowler and can execute a plan perfectly - see Smith, Gayle, Hoggard etc. Nice piece.

Thanks Wraye and Bishop. Although he didn’t produce a match-winning performance, he still took key wickets in this Test, and is an important member of England’s attack. Thanks for reading
