I think that this is a fantastic signing for Essex. Ever since i saw him in the test vs SA, Steyn has been my idol, i admire his aggression and his heart, he is my favourite fast bowler at the moment.i expect he will have a great career at Essex.

A great signing for Essex as they snatch Dale Steyn, the young South African quick. It was rumoured in January Warwickshire were itching to sign him in the winter, but Essex have got in first.

Hi - I agree, it should be a brilliant signing…but I think it’ll be a couple of seasons before his true potential comes through. Young and very raw, but one of the exciting fast bowlers around at the moment - and we should be thankful, because they be rare!

the signing with essex was a great idea… he managed to get his half century!!!! wow for dale… he should be back in action again, for the world to see his greatness…

im south african and i love watching him play for the national team i think hes brilliant i really admire his passion for the game and now that hes changed his hair he looks hot! I hope he goes from strength to strength and i look forward 2 seeing him play for a long tym 2 cum..He’d beta nt change his hair tho..Itz perfect!

hair doesn’t really have much to do with how he’s been bowling now does it bianca???
