It is really disappointing. I wonder whether the england management will persist with him, given his reluctance to tour.

Harmison’s homesickness. Again.
By Will 4 years ago, mid-April Leave a comment on this post
Yesterday saw yet further revelations and startling honesty from Harmison about his homesickness. I’ve written about it before, and Harmison’s spoken about it before - but that only makes the revelations even more bizarre. Not 12 months ago, people - me included - were calling him the best English fast bowler of his generation. Someone who could end up with over 300 Test wickets at a better strike rate than most. Someone who Stephen Fleming and Chris Cairns regarded as potentially greater than Glenn McGrath due to the bounce he offered.
All this, reduced to admissions of homesickness. Still - he did at least help destroy Leicestershire by blasting out 3 batsmen, so all is not lost just yet.

He has no peer in England. Bowlers of his class simply do not come along very often - hence England’s and my immense frustration…:(

Hi Will,
I have to admit my blogging as a whole has been quieter than I would like!
Saying that, I am currently putting together a post featuring an XI of my own, and I will probably be asking for your feedback. Be warned! :p
BTW, any news on the radio show? No one here wants to talk about cricket, since footy season has started, so I am champing at the bit!

Oooh, I haven’t done my own XI for at least a year(!) Shout when yours is up.
Re the radio show, I’ve found some software which can record a Skype conversation, so…I suppose that was the only thing to consider. I’m launching an Ashes section to the site some time before the series starts, including a sort of competition/quiz, so perhaps we can start playing around with Skype then. In the meantime, email me (will at mailliw dot com) if you want my Skype addy..still finding the whole Skype thing incredible actually.
