One of my greatest regrets - I have never really seen both Lara and Tendulkar at their best in the same game. Would have been a treat for the Gods.
He has waltzed into the 60s now, and looking good!
Incidentally, I always wondered whether Chanderpaul would end up driving a bail right into the pitch one day, (especially on a fifth day pitch)what with this unusual method of marking his guard. Is that a punishable offence? Two counts, I think. Bail tampering, and pitch tampering.

Is Lara on the verge of one of his “specials”?

Brian Lara. The most mecurial of cricketers, with talent bordering on the insane, might just be on the verge of a special innings. Despite having not played a first class game this year, his 40 not out (currently lunch) against South Africa was a classic; aggressive strokeplay, dogmatic defence and coming in at a difficult situation. As most people know, all Lara needs is a start…

Thanks Jonny. Keep reading
Some Ashes goodness coming quite soon…
Great to see Lara’s made his hundred (I’ve missed his last 60 runs
). Latest ball on Cricinfo made me laugh:
55.4 Ntini to Lara, FOUR, full, width, forward, drives, fetch
