Enjoyable piece on the redevelopment of Lord’s at the Telegraph:
Downstairs, the famous Long Room has been sensitively fitted out with new fireplaces and even a disguised air-conditioning unit. But the main difference is the direct access to the bar, which could result in a more robust welcome for the batsmen who troop through past the armchairs every time a wicket falls.

Me and 3 mates are going to the Tsunami fund-raiser on June 14th, so I’ll get a good look at it then. Well - I won’t get into the Longroom, oh no. Ohhh no.
