The inevitable has happened, but it’s no less sad - and a great relief given his suffering. The Pope has died, at 21.37 local time (half hour ago). As a Catholic myself, I just wanted to note it down - if only to look back on it in years to come. A great man, a true modern Pope by all accounts.
