    South Africa v England T1 D3 thoughts

Brilliant day’s Test Cricket. It went like this:

I’m concerned for Harmison. He has looked ineffectual throughout the match, and Jones too doesn’t appear to be a threat. Perhaps Durban’s pitch will be more to their liking, but it’s gotta be a worry that he’s not getting those spitting throat-balls that we’ve become used to seeing jump up at batsmen.

This game is right in the balance. As my previous post points out, South Africa are closing in on my “sessions won” tally at 4-5. This would suggest England has their noses in front (and the usually ultra cautious Hussain agrees), but for me it’s far too close to call.

South Africa will want a lead of 300+ to put the game out of England’s reach - but will they force a declaration and go for the win, or just bat England out of the game and get a draw?
